YIANNIS VELLIS
The enviroment where I grew up - A village at the foot of a mountainous landscape in northern Greece - created the language where I can express myself as a painter.
At first I studied economics for four years, I moved then to the U.S.A. where I finally started studying at an art school. After three adventurous years though I returnet to Europe where I was able to round up my study at the RIETVELD ACADEMY OF ARTS IN
AMSTERAM.
Until now I have exhibited my work repeatedly in Netherlands, France, Belgium, U.S.A. and GREECE.
I believe that,when an artist gives form at his own perception of the world and then he manages to transfer it into his artwork, this is the moment when something new and unique is created.
