BABEL
At the end of a day one becomes aware of the dazzling number of visual impressions that enter daily our minds. By being registered so close one after the other, these impressions can influence them selves and that in itself can change our way of looking at them.
I collected icons from newspapers, magazines, personal memories, art history, daily life and painted them on canvas in a random way. By not being able to escape the four borders of the painted canvas these impressions are bound to confrond and influence each other and that can change their original meaning completely!
